Dr. Caridi is the owner and founder of Westlake Plastic Surgery and the Austin Gynecomastia Center. He has practiced plastic surgery for over 30 years and is considered a senior surgeon. At this juncture in his career, he practices only cosmetic plastic surgery with a focus on senior-level procedures, including rhinoplasty (nose job), gynecomastia surgery, breast lift with implants, and mommy makeover.
Dr. Caridi has an international practice with patients who seek his services from all over the world. His frank and honest approach with patients is refreshing and current. Dr. James Wilson is Westlake Plastic Surgery’s board-certified anesthesiologist. Dr. Wilson graduated from high school in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He completed his undergraduate education at Baylor University from 1976 to 1980, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. Dr. Wilson attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston from 1980 to 1984, where he earned his medical degree.
He completed his anesthesia residency at The University of Mississippi. After teaching at Ole Miss, Dr. Wilson took his first private practice job in Athens, Georgia, where he held the Director of Cardiac Anesthesia position for eleven years. He left that position to cofound a new anesthesia group in Asheboro, North Carolina.
In 2012, Dr. Wilson returned to Texas to serve as Director of Anesthesia and Medical Director of the Operating Rooms at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights. Dr. Wilson met Dr. Caridi in 2015 and eagerly accepted his invitation to join him at Westlake Plastic Surgery. Dr. Wilson is honored to provide the highest quality anesthesia for all surgical patients and serve as the Operating Room’s facility director.
Lacy, a Registered Nurse, is a native Texan who came to us from Wichita Falls. Lacy attended Midwestern State University, where she pursued a degree in psychology. It was on this pursuit that she realized her true passion: nursing. She went on to receive her nursing degree at Vernon College. She is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Since her start with us over ten years ago, she has pursued advanced training as an RNFA (registered nurse first assist) and has received her CNOR certification. Lacy has honed her skills to a high level under the mentoring of Dr. Caridi, and she serves as the chief nurse at WPS. She is responsible for the clinical operations of the office and can be found in surgery, in the recovery room, and caring for patients during office hours. Lacy is also an aesthetic nurse injector and performs neurotoxin injections, dermal fillers, and microneedling.
Lacy has a Texas-friendly personality, and our patients warm up to her immediately as she assists them in each area of the Westlake Plastic Surgery experience. She possesses an easy smile, a warm personality, and a sensitivity to the needs of our patients. She has developed into a first-rate plastic surgery nurse who will never forget the primary role of all nurses — to take outstanding care of their patients.
Maria, Registered Nurse, is a true Austinite who grew up in the hills of Westlake. It was Maria’s lifelong dream to become a nurse. Maria fulfilled that dream when she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN) from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Maria is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She enjoys caring for patients at each stage of the surgical process, from pre-operative and post-operative and from consultations to the recovery room.
Maria enjoys working with our patients and has a passion for providing quality, patient-centered nursing care. You will always see her with a smile on her face. Maria is one of five kids. She enjoys running the town lake trail, listening and dancing to music, and spending time with her family and friends in her free time.
Christi is a native Texan who grew up in Miles (near San Angelo). Christi received her bachelor’s in Kinesiology from San Angelo State University and went on to receive her Master’s in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas State University. After running a corporate wellness program for several years, she began pursuing her nursing degree and graduated in 2012 from Austin Community College. She holds certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support.
Christi has over 10 years of experience in the surgical setting. You can find her in the OR and assisting patients from the time they arrive for surgery until they leave the recovery room. Christi has two boys and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling (anywhere she can surf, dive or snowboard) and running with her dog, Reign.
Audrey grew up just 30 minutes outside of Austin in Elgin, TX. Audrey is our newest nurse who joined the team in 2023. She graduated from Austin community college’s nursing program and is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, as well as trauma care after resuscitation.
While working in a level 2 trauma hospital in the trauma care unit, Audrey decided it was time to pursue her dream of working in the plastic surgery field. You can find her circulating in the OR and learning to scrub under the mentorship of Dr. Caridi and the other lead nurses. She is a compassionate nurse and fosters trusting relationships with her patients. In her free time, you can find Audrey listening to live music, hiking, and hanging out with her husband dog Ozzy.
Lilia is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and moved to Austin in 1999. When she first came to Texas, she worked as an artist assistant for Richard Loudermilk and for her husband, Craig Hardie. Although she has a passion for art, she has always loved working with people. Before joining the team in 2022, she worked as a personal assistant for the Caridi family for over 15 years. Lilia enjoys helping others and is known for her compassionate heart and warm personality.
Lilia enjoys spending time with her friends and visiting her family in Canada and Brazil.
Michelle was born in California but raised in Texas. She joined the team in 2009 as a Medical Assistant and Patient Coordinator. Michelle has 15 years of experience in both Plastic Surgery and Dermatology. She oversees all aspects of our front-end operations. Michelle enjoys helping patients navigate through their surgical journey from start to finish. She is known for being compassionate, gentle, calm, and kind-hearted.
Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, interior design, organizing and cooking.
Dennise was born and raised in Houston, TX, but fell in love with the city of Austin for its scenery and uniqueness. She has been working with Dr. Caridi since 2021 as our dedicated and compassionate Patient Coordinator. She has a strong passion for providing exceptional care in the plastic surgery field. Dennise has a deep understanding of patient needs and an eye for detail that guides patients seamlessly through each step of their journey. From the initial consultation to post-operative support, she is committed to creating a welcoming supportive environment where patients feel informed and cared for.
Dennise enjoys working out, exploring Austin and spending time with her boyfriend and 2 dogs.
Cherri joined the Austin Gynecomastia Center team 17 years ago, bringing along many years of experience in the healthcare industry. She is the “mama bear” of the practice and oversees all email correspondence and online consultations. She is an avid Longhorn fan and attended the University of Texas in Austin along with Dr. Caridi, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in social work.
Growing up in a military family has made it easy for her to form relationships with patients from all walks of life. Cherri truly cares for our patients and wants you to feel like family while she assists you throughout your journey. While her roles within the practice have evolved throughout the years, her goal has remained the same which is to educate and support you throughout the process. She is passionate about hospitality and committed to caring for your needs. Cherri has deep roots in Austin and much love for the hill country of Central Texas. Currently, she is working remotely, and you will likely communicate with her via email.
