Patient Details

This patient is 1 month out from his surgery and drove in two hours to see me. Most patients don’t return This is an advanced gynecomastia case. What this means is that it isn’t a run of the mill type of case with a moderate sized chest and good quality skin. This patient has only fair skin quality (elasticity) because of his weight changes throughout his life. He was given the alternative of standard treatment without skin removal and a skin removal approach with scars across his chest and around his areolas.

We both agreed that the best alternative for his case would be a traditional approach without skin removal. As such, it would be unrealistic for him to believe his result will be perfect, and he will likely have some contour imperfections that you can see with his result at 4 months. However, his result is very natural overall and he has avoided scars that would be very obvious in his case. He is super happy with his outcome and no doubt it has changed his life for the better in many ways.

Treatment of advanced gynecomastia is an art and a science. The approach to treatment is important as well as the recovery period during which the patient needs to engage in activities that ensure the very best result.
