Patient Details

This is a particularly rewarding gynecomastia case. This young man presented with significant gynecomastia caused almost entirely by dense, firmly adherent glandular tissue, as you can appreciate from the photo of the excised masses. Cases like this require meticulous surgical technique, as the tissue is often very “stuck” to the surrounding structures and difficult to remove completely.

At just 4 months after surgery, you can already appreciate a dramatically improved, gynecomastia-free chest contour. He still has some normal healing ahead of him as the internal scar tissue continues to soften and settle over the coming months. On his left side, there was a small area of scar tethering at the incision which I treated with a minor steroid injection to help smooth the contour and optimize healing.

What made this case especially meaningful was what he shared with us after surgery. He told us that he recently visited a local river and, for the first time in his life, felt comfortable taking his shirt off in public. He said he “felt like a million dollars.” Moments like this are a powerful reminder that gynecomastia surgery is about far more than the chest itself—it can profoundly change confidence, freedom, and quality of life.
