Patient Details

This is a Zone 1–3 gynecomastia patient in his mid-fifties seen approximately 3 years after treatment. Interestingly, I operated on his son today and had the opportunity to take updated photographs of his father’s result. His son’s gynecomastia was significantly larger, although fortunately he has excellent skin quality—which gives me optimism for an outstanding outcome, provided he follows my recovery protocol closely.

The result you see here is what I would consider excellent given this patient’s age and underlying skin quality. Long-term outcomes like this are rarely due to surgery alone. I believe much of his success reflects commitment to the postoperative routine I emphasize for every patient.

My goal has never been simply to create a chest that looks good in a shirt. I want patients to feel confident shirtless, at the pool, in a fitted T-shirt—or yes, even in a Speedo.

Perhaps most rewarding, this patient became healthier years after surgery. He lost weight, improved his fitness, and found motivation through the confidence his chest transformation provided. Sometimes treatment becomes the catalyst for broader changes in health and self-image.

Having the privilege to care for multiple generations within the same family is something I do not take lightly. It is one of the most meaningful aspects of a long surgical career.
